  1. Never share your OTP, ATM Pin, or CVV over the phone with anyone

 Your bank will never contact or email you asking for your PINs, CVVs, or OTPs. Never give private information to anyone, including your CRN, password, card details, CVV, OTP, ATM PIN, UPI PIN, and mobile banking PIN. If you get such calls, you should hang up right once and contact your bank directly. Click on links only from reliable sources.

Be careful and delete the message if you receive an email or text message from an unknown sender requesting you to click on a doubtful link. Do not answer threats calls, as they pressure you to provide discounts and coupon codes or to transfer money into your account, but instead steal all of your data because banks never send such notices.

  1. Be Aware of Fake KYC Update (Avoid fake answering scams calls)

As scammers are trained to seem convincing, if you get a fake call or a caller pretending to be a bank representative, they are intending to steal your card information or PIN number.

  1. Change your passwords frequently, and review your payment history on a regular basis.

Net banking passwords must change frequently; they should be replaced at least every three months. Check your transaction history or bank statements whenever you have done any transaction via net banking r mobile banking, keep eye on all your small or big or recent transactions and statement Typically, fraudsters use small, random amounts for testing.

  1. Do not click such links embedded in text messages or WhatsApp or emails.

Hackers could send links to registered email addresses or SMS messages to mobile numbers or WhatsApp. Fake emails with links to websites may steal your login information. Most of the fake email links have virus attachments that steal financial data from your device. Don’t click too quickly on such links. You must check all pop-ups and messages that relate to transactions carefully. If you get messages from any sender, be careful, or it is best to delete them without opening them.

  1. Never share your screen

Create a suspicious thought so that you can recognise the email ID or number that you have never seen before. Avoid installing a screen-sharing apps like AnyDesk, Teamviewer, and similar ones since they provide criminals access to your device, your banking information, and your bank accounts and funds without your awareness. Be discreet with your contact information. Avoid sharing personal information, receipts from online purchases, IDs, and other details on social media. Never save your bank account details on unverified shopping sites.
