US-based technology Apple has begun selling iPhone that was assembled in India. The first set of Made in India iPhone has been started selling in selected cities from June 2017. When it comes to the costs, you’re getting the iPhone SE 32GB version for Rs 27,200 while the 128GB can be yours for Rs 37,200.
The first few iPhones have been spotted in Bengaluru, furthermore the city where these phones are assembled, the iPhone SE has manufactured by Apple’s partner Wistron Corp. India is the third country to put assemble iPhones, underscoring how essential it has become for one of the world’s most valued organizations.
Considering the iPhone SE was launched in India for Rs 39,999 (for the 32GB), made under the ‘Make in India’ campaign. This is a definite price drop, and seemingly gives us the first indication that the few iPhone SE units have made it to the market.
According to a report by IBT “ The boxes of these iPhone SEs come with a ‘Designed in California and assembled in Indian tag, the first unit of ‘Assembled in India’ devices was spotted in Bengaluru.
The source said, “Designed by Apple in California, Assembled in India.” The iPhones are priced the same as other models manufactured in China. Apple has a policy of keeping the pricing more or less the same across the world. However, it is clear that the organization has decided iPhone SE for local produce as it is a more affordable design and would hence entice customers in a price sensitive market like India.”
An Apple organization confirmed the development, the marketing strategy or the manufacturing levels, but dropped to discuss the cost.
As per the Apple Inc, official sources only selected series of iPhone will be assembled in India right now only iPhone SE is being assembled in India. For made in India tag on iPhone 7, 8 and iPhone X, Indian users have to wait for more.
