Navneet Kaur is a member of parliament from Amrawati, Maharashtra for 17th Locksabha, India. Currently, she is the only actress from Maharashtra in the parliament house. Navneet Kaur has no connection through any political parties because she won the Loksabha lection 2019 uncontested.
Before entering the politics Navneet Kaur has acted in many Telugu and Punjabi movies as a leading actress. Lastly, she has been seen in a Tamil movie “Ambasamudram Ambani” in the role of Nandhini and in a Punjabi movie “Chhevan Dariya (The Sixth River)” as Reet.
Before marrying a politician Ravi Rana in 2011, Navneet Kaur has started making a name as an upcoming politician, she loves doing social work and had a deep interest in politics from a very early age. She quits the movie industry in 2010 and devoted all her time to social service and the betterment of poor people.
Navneet Kaur got a huge appreciation from many famous people for organizing and sponsoring a public marriage event for poor people in their area with her Husband Ravi who is an MLA from Amravati district also.
She also fought election in 2014 on the congress party ticket but lost with a huge margin and after that, she quit that party and decided to fight the 2019 Loksabha election Independently. Navneet Kaur won the 2019 MP election by 36,951 votes by defeating a strong Shivsena party opponent Anandrao V. Adsul.
Navneet Kaur is also quite active on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter & Instagram, and love to interact with her fans and follower regularly. Recently she posted a video where she found cutting her husband’s hair in lockdown. She has around 122k followers on Instagram and has a verified account there with the name Navneet Kaur Rana (@navneetravirana).
