To increase greenery in Bihar Chief Minister started the Jal Jeevan Hariyali Abhiyan. Bihar is the first state in India that has designed a dedicated scheme to save the environment.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed concern over the decrease in annual rainfall in the state and has also started the Van Mahotsav which is launched with the aim to increase the greenery in Bihar . He also said that “ Climate change is basically responsible for erratic weather condition. We have to take some steps to fight this challenge. Global warming is also the outcome of deforestation which is increasing day by day.
