Kanhaiya Kumar Bio, Age, Education, Height, Net Worth, Political Career: Kanhaiya Kumar is a former JNU student and research scholar from Begusarai, Bihar. He came in limelight and become a political face after the controversial JNU 9th Feb 2016 event on the JNU campus. As per the media reports, he has been found raising anti-national slogans with his friend Umar Khalid on the evening of 9 Feb 2016 at an in-house event on the JNU campus. After that, he and all involved students were arrested under sedition charges and the later court has released him by giving some strong remarks.
Kanhaiya Kumar was born in a small village of Begusarai, District in Bihar, and completed his primary education from there only. After completing class 10th/Matric he moved to Patna for higher education and was later admitted to JNU for P.hD by opting for scholarship under the EWS quota.

Kanhaiya Kumar Political Career
Kanhaiya Kumar was very much active in student politics in JNU campus and he was the president of the AISF students organization there. After completing his P.hD from JNU he has joined the political party CPI and contested the Loksabha election 2019 from his home district Begusarai against BJP candidate Giriraj Singh but he lost by 152241 votes. Later he joined Indian National Congress on 28 September 2021.
