Litti Chokha rise as a Global Cuisine: When it comes to famous Bihar delicacies, only one name comes to mind which is definitely Litti-Chokha. Litti, together with chokha, is a traditional food that originated in the Indian state of Bihar. It is because Litti Chokha is a part of the Bihari cuisine that people often eat during lunch, dinner, or on any holidays. About the Dish Litti Chokha
Little is stuffed with sattu (roasted gram flour), some herbs and spices used to flavor the litti include onion, garlic, ginger, coriander leaves, lime juice, carom seeds, nigella seeds, and salt. Pickles may be also used to add flavor to seasonings as well. It is baked over a coal or wood open fire with tomatoes and chilies. It is then dipped in desi ghee. Many people, however, prefer to eat it without dipping it in ghee.
At the same time, it is served with crispy baigan and Alu chokha. It is not only delicious but it is also beneficial for health. In Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, litti is served with creamy chicken curry or chokha, a vegetable dish comprising roasted and mashed eggplant, tomato, and potato.
