Govt of India signed a MoU with Switzerland for Swiss tilting trains in India. Indian rail authority is collaborating with Switzerland to run tilting trains on Indian railways track. Tilting Trains is like a motorbike on a winding road.
As per the Memorandum of signed on Sept 2, both countries will work together to develop the tracks and platform to run Swiss Tilting Trains in India in the upcoming years.
Currently, Tilting Trains is working in Italy, Portugal, Slovenia, Finland, Russia, the Czech Republic, the UK, Switzerland, China, Germany, and Romania.
As per the govt of India official source that “How this train will be operational in India” they said the train rounds a curve at speed it causes objects to slide about. As per MoU signed Switzerland govt will share all technical aspect to run tilting train with Indian rail authority. In India, it will take many of years to get operational because we have lots of things to do before to get stated for Swiss tilting trains in India.
Govt of India also signed another MoU with Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology to set up the George Fernandes Institute of Tunnel Technology (GFITT) at Goa.
These all are the step Indian govt is taking for the advancement of Indian railways but we have to wait and watch when it will be successful working in India.
