Google has taken down one of the popular Indian apps that letting Indian users know about the available/active Chinese apps on their phones for removal. The parent company of Google Aplhabet Inc. told media that apps have been taken down due to some Google play store policies violation. “Remove China Apps” owned by OneTouch App Labs had more than 50 million downloads only May 2020 only in India and it was on trending apps in Google Playstore from the last few weeks.
A Google spokesman told “Reuters” the app had been removed due to the policy violation of the google app store but they didn’t give any further details about this sudden app removal. OneTouch Apps labs the founding company of “Remove China Apps” haven’t commented on this removal till now. The App was helping Indian people to find and boycott Chinese mobile apps with alternatives in India due to Indian-China border disputes at Pangong lake, Ladakh.
This is the 2nd time in row google found helping Chinese app companies indirectly due to their company policies. First, they have taken down more than 1 million of 1-star ratings of TikTok from India when people raised Ban TikTok Indian with hashtag #BanTitkokIndia on twitter and now Google removed this popular Indian App from Playstore without giving any detailed information.
