Tokyo Olympics 2020-21 is in serious trouble now because of the coronavirus pandemic. The event was to be held in July 2020 but due to the CONVID-19 outbreak, it has been shifted to July 2021. But on 29th April in teleconference Tokyo, 2020 Organizing Committee President “Yoshiro Mori” said that Japan would scrap Games if not held next year on rescheduled time.
The International Olympic Committee & the Japanese government last month postponed this one of the prestigious sports events until July 2021 because of the impact of the coronavirus pandemic from which the whole world is suffering very badly.
As per the pre-scheduled Tokyo Olympic 2020 event, around 11,000 Olympians and 4,400 Paralympians from more than 200 nations and territories have to participate. But now it’s very difficult for the country to host this huge gathering in this crucial time of the coronavirus outbreak.
But now everything depends on the coronavirus situation in Japan as well as the participating countries. If the virus keeps spreading like present till the end of the year then International Olympic Committee & the Japanese government will be forced to cancel the event.
