Durga Puja 2021 Saptami, Ashtami, Navami Date, Puja Details, Mantra: Durga Puja is one of the biggest festivals of West Bengal in India that is celebrated with great enthusiasm. However,  It is a similar significant festival of celebration for the people in the state of Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.  It is observed in the Hindu calendar of Ashvin and September or October of the Gregorian calendar. The Festival is celebrated for 10 days.

It is the festival that represents the good over bad as it celebrates the victory of goddess Durga over the Buffalo devil Mahishasura. For Bengalis, it is a five days festival celebration which is been observed as, Shashthi, Maha Saptami, Maha Ashtami, Maha Navami and Vijayadashami the Pandals with grand idols of Goddess Durga are open for visitors.

Mahasasthi

On this day the Divine Mother arrives at the human world from her heavenly home this is the eve of the Puja, accompanied by her children Kalaparambho, the ritual performed before the beginning of the puja precedes Bodhon, Amontron, and Adibas.

Mahasaptami

Saptami is the first day of Durga Puja. Kola Bow( Nabapatrika) is given a pre-dawn bath. This is the ritual of worshiping many types of plants. They are together, worshiped to the goddess. On a day of Saptami, It follows Kalparambho and Mahasnan.

Maha Ashtami

Mahaastami starts with a recital of Sanskrit hymns, as many of enthusiasts provided puspa anjali to the goddess. As the day used on, arrived for the main Sandhi Puja, which represents the interlinking of the Maha Ashtami and Maha Navami.

Mahanavami

On day Navami this is the concluding day of Durga Puja. The main Navami puja begins after the end of Sandhi Puja.

Dashami & Vijaya

The last day of the festival is called Vijaya Dashami, on this day, a tearful farewell is provided to the Goddess. And a huge send-off is organized. Images are taken in processions around the area and lastly is immersed in a nearby river.
